Some people travel to escape.
I started traveling to discover who I could become. My corporate credentials as a trained engineer, product marketer and MBA professional didn’t show me half as much as travel has.
What began as curiosity slowly became confidence. Then freedom. Then purpose.
Today, that journey has evolved into Dare To Travel — a modern travel platform and global community designed to make travel feel more accessible, empowering, and transformative for women and underrepresented travelers around the world.
I’m Uju Ursula Sebastine Nwobu — traveler, storyteller, speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of Dare To Travel.
And no, this was never about becoming a travel influencer.
Dare To Travel was built from a much deeper belief: that travel can completely change the trajectory of a person’s life and that everyone deserves to see the world.
Not just through luxury experiences or beautiful destinations — but through perspective, confidence, faith, healing, courage, and human connection.
Because sometimes the boldest thing you can do is book the flight.
The Beginning
Like many people, I spent years waiting for the “right time.”
The right schedule.
The right finances.
The right people to go with.
But eventually, I realized something important:
The life I wanted wasn’t going to begin someday.
It had to begin with a decision.
So I started traveling, often solo and every trip stretched me in ways I never expected.
Travel taught me how adaptable I was.
How resilient I could become.
How much of the world and myself I had yet to discover
How incredibly creative God is.
It reminded me that curiosity is powerful.
That courage can be practiced.
And that freedom is often found outside your comfort zone.
That experience changed my life so deeply that I knew I had to create something bigger than myself.
That became Dare To Travel.
